Criminal Car Wash Complaint On Car Care Inc - Illegal Alien Worker Scheme Is All Washed Up!
Having formerly been in the car wash business prior to retirement, I was always amazed at the questionable behavior exercised with regards to the hiring of illegal aliens. In fact, Arizona Lemon Laws was so pervasive throughout the nation that, each new city we brought our franchisees too, we expected local car washes and car wash chains to use illegal alien car washers.
This problem is nothing new, it was going on in the 1980s, 1990s and even now during the crackdown on illegal alien workers after 911. Not long ago one of the largest car wash chains in the nation got caught contraceptive patch hiring illegal aliens when their car washes in three different states were all raided on the same day. Surprised, I'm not, not in the least. Of course, the Federal Grand Jury which charged Car Care Inc and many of the companies private student loan consolidation found a new scheme to hide their criminal activity.
You see, each time a legal worker quit, the name and injury at work was kept and used for an illegal alien who replaced them. This went on for over 6-years until they were finally caught. Some 88% of the car washers were illegals. This may seem like an isolated incident, but it's not, the industry itself is still lacking the proper enforcement and integrity it needs to self-enforce. Whereas, this case may wake up other bad apple operators, it is merely a drop in the bucket to solving the real problem.
We have thousands of Border Patrol Officers collecting illegal aliens to be deported and yet, Playthefield are the car washes they take their personal cars too, has tons of illegal aliens working there. We have a problem. The car wash industry needs to be cleaned up.
